Holiday Shopping List
Shopping, embarrassingly, is my number 1 hobby, skill, interest, etc. I'm ashamed to admit it's been borderline unhealthy for most of my adult life.
That said - I hate stores. I hate going through racks, I hate trying things on, I hate line ups, crowds and buying junk for the sake of accumulating. My husband, mother, sister, the DHL/UPS delivery guys, the Canada Post lady who was shocked when I recited my credit card by memory for import fees, and the receptionist at my office (she receives my packages if I've ordered to many to my door...) can all attest to my addiction to online shopping. One of my curses is a deep love and appreciation for all things beautiful and crafted in quality. I inherited this from my dad's side of the family and somehow it compounded in me and became a real monster.
My... thrifty (?) husband has grounded me and taught me the value of saving and budgets (no fighting involved there over the last 6 years, nope...) but... I still can't resist online window shopping (and frequently pushing "purchase") in nearly all my free moments. Louella probably made this shopping addiction even worse because, I mean, have you seen baby stuff these days!? On that note, why does Australia and New Zealand have the exceptional baby clothing/toys/everything market absolutely cornered!? You just can't beat it. Tthe 2-3 weeks for shipping is torture but it is so, so worth it.
Anyway! My point is, I consider myself a bit of an authority on online shopping, sourcing and sale/code hunting. I also love gift giving. In fact, for years my mom has me select nearly every present under the Christmas tree for my whole family and just gives me her credit card number. As I often say, the only thing I love more than spending my own money, is spending other people's money. So, I'm here to help you spend your money with a few different budgets in mind.
These are all things I either own or will soon own. A broad selection of curated items in a range of prices. Hopefully this will get your creative juices flowing from stocking stuffers to 'the big one' from Santa.
