Room Refresh | Girl's Room Lampshade
This one proved to be a very hard choice for me! Something I obsess over is choosing things that suit all seasons (unless it’s something that is swapped out seasonally anyway) so that was a strong factor. I wanted something that would compliment the other colours and playful elements and patterns I am pulling in to the room plus give a childlike vibe while also being able to grow with them. Here are the shades I played around with in Photoshop.
Ultimately, I couldn’t resist the sweetness of the ricrac and the red that will carry through nicely with all seasons. The girls were so happy when they saw it. As it stands today, I have it against aw all with no outlet so I am using a rechargeable cordless lightbulb. The charge lasts about 5 hours, so it works for the half hour or so a night we have it on during story time. The outlet that is against the wall was originally put there to have a TV, but our kids won’t be having a TV In their room so my next hunt commences… for the perfect mirror!
