April | Wishlist

It has been such an early and glorious start to spring here in the Pacific North West. After an unseasonably dry winter (hello, we are known for our rain!), I didn’t count down the days until the warmer months like I normally would. The sun shined for us all winter. That said, I am in love with spring styling. I, like many, am in love with the ‘in between’ seasons. There is so much excitement and promise this time of year. Tending to seedlings, planning summer’s weekends, venturing out without a coat.

It’s also a lovely time to start incorporating more colour and print into your life. With that said… here are my favourite finds or April.

LITTLES

PLAY

This wood rainbow stacking set is one of the best things I ever bought for my girls. Sabine, at 11 months, loves moving them around and watching big sister stack and shape them. Of all her toys, Lou has spent the longest consecutive time playing with this one. Whether she’s incorporating it with her farm animals, cars, dolls or just stacking them into different shapes, it has her totally entranced. This was WELL worth the investment. I was able to cook dinner totally uninterrupted last night, and that is saying something with 2 babies.

Another German made classic. Both girls have had hours of fun with these. Awesome for independent and group play. We’ve played with them both inside and outside, made farm houses for them, and created water features with rocks for them to imagine a miniature make believe farm world. I have a feeling I’ll be adding more animals in no time.

We’ve enjoyed this basket for a few seasons - summer picnics, autumn apple picking, and now I’ll be filling it up with Easter Treats!

Teagan White illustrates the most beautiful worlds! We have collected all of the Melissa Marr books. This is a great one for Easter.

WEAR

Forever a favourite! Emile et Ida gives me what I want every season. Classic, cute in beautiful cuts and fabrics.

DECORATE

It is April, after all. We have a droplet garland, but I think I’ll be adding this sweet bunny one to Sabine’s room. You can get different sizes or have your own custom designed. Excellent quality and a perfect way to warm up a baby’s room.

I just discovered Dominy’s sweet shop on Instagram (because where else do I find all the things?!). We are collaborating this month on my Instagram with a Give-away! Follow both of us to keep up to date and for a chance to win.

This is the perfect way to store all your new toys! We have learned in our Montessori book that it’s best to have all of your child’s toys simply organized at their height. So, we use these crates to put her activities on a shelf at her level. It was fun picking different colours to coordinate.

I bought this last fall but we only got around to hanging it this month! Not only is it just very pretty but Louella loves cuddling in there on her floor pillows with a book.

FOR YOU

BEAUTY

Maison Margiela’s Replica have some of my favourite scents. This is their latest. I love citrus at this time of year.

St Agni Desi Knight Loafer $279

St Agni Desi Knight Loafer $279

Exploring the classic art of knitting, the Desi Knit Loafer binds fine leather to create a truly unique design, reminiscent of generations past and embracing naturally dyed, vegetable tanned leather. I own a few pair of St Agni’s and every season they come out with a new pair that I covet. This time, it’s these!

Ozma of California Wrap Top $175

Ozma of California Wrap Top $175

I love a wrap top. This one is reversible and can be worn low front or back and sits at natural waist.
